Walvis cafe

For a panoramic view of the water and the famous colored kites along the canal you have to go to Walvis. Local tip for those with a craving: take your pick from the suggestions. In the evening this café is transformed into a stage for the musicians of Brussels Jazz Weekend. On Friday the lineup consists of Esinam Dogbatse and Sister Tessa Mary Soul. The latter describes herself as a 'holy soul that spins sweet vinyl from the sixties/seventies for your pure pleasure'. M.A.F. Orquestra & Soul T. will perform in café Roskam on Friday, but will also give it their all at Walvis on Saturday. DJ Funk You opens the afternoon on Sunday with a set that consists of soul, funk, jazz, bossanova and samba. Next up is Stace, Stacy Claire’s solo project, where spontaneity rhymes with virtuosity.
