Ensemble BART QUARTIER #jazz #folk #pop #classical

Noémie Decroix: vocals, Simon Groppe: piano, Edis Hennebicq: bass, Jon Wolter: drums

Musicians from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel fill up their own personal stage at the Parc de Bruxelles.

This ensemble has choosen music out of the ‘jazz language’. Simon’s arrangement on Swedish folk tune ‘I Riden Så’ by Gjallarhorn in an almost disappeared dialect, and a 600 year old folksong ‘Arirang’ from South-Corea; Edis chose for ‘The Eraser’ by Radiohead, ‘Do not go’ is composed by Noémie on a poem of the Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore, a tune by Jon called ’To the one that broke me’ and Bart’s arrangement on Johan Sebastian Bach’s choral ‘Jésu Meine Freude’. A nice unit! Enjoy!
