Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, our federal government has decided to cancel all events up until end of august. We understand and support this undoubtedly difficult decision, as everyone’s health and safety must always come first.
Unfortunately this means that the 4th edition of Brussels Jazz Weekend will have to be postponed until next year. We bring this news to you all with a heavy heart. Our entire crew sympathizes with every organization, musician, technician and freelancer affected by these unprecedented circumstances.
Summer will look, feel and be different this year. Different means we’re all following the important measures put in place by the government, and are therefore playing our part in slowing down this pandemic. Different means we’re staying at home, playing music on an old record player maybe, or listening to a jazzy podcast. Who knows: different may become a great new discovery.
A different summer gives us a greater chance to be back in 2021. With lots of inspiration, swinging rhythms and exciting solo’s, and with a refreshing glass of Omer. We’ve already started counting down the days to those priceless moments with family and friends.
Before closing off, we’d like to thank our public and private partners, our curators, our crew and of course our fans for the ongoing trust in our festival.
Thank you. Bedankt. Merci.
Embrace the different. See you next year. ❤
