Abstract Inc. is a sextet that plays the compositions of guitarist Machiel Heremans. Despite the rather traditional jazz line-up, the sextet creates an original sound. They do this by focusing on new possibilities, like letting the two saxophonists play together and giving them the role of accompanist, or making them use of counterpoint. This combined with rich colours, guitar effects and expressive dynamics produces narrative music with a rough edge. In 2020, their debut EP was released on the ZenneZ Records label.
